Overview

Antipode is a stand alone café in Hammersmith, London. The owner required a site that could be built on a small business appropriate budget and that could be maintained and updated with ease.

The business garners much attention on Instagram, so a site that looked great on mobile that could serve as the next touchpoint after customers discovered the café on social media was essential.

Process

choosing a platform

I directed the client towards the Squarespace platform as an easy-to-update and affordable solution. While I infused some custom-code into the site design, the client will not require such skills to make updates.

visual language

Antipode had an existing logo but no larger visual language. A creamy, neutral developed was selected to evoke the colours of coffee. The typography and use of simple block shapes drew from the Swiss style, which was a favourite of the business owner.
